1. How to set camera wireless connection to the Router?
First, make sure that the camera is connected to any one of the LAN port of the Router with Ethernet cable.
Visit Tenda official website www.tendacn.com , on the screen top right corner , input C50s , then click to search. In the “Search Results” list find the C50s Setup Wizard V3.0 download and install .
Double click TendaSetupWizard icon , run this software, click next according guide info, until to the following page.
1. As shown on the picture, click “”, (please close the firewall and antivirus software in your computer and make the DHCP server is ON in your Router);
2. Select the camera from the device list.
3. Click “”, input admin in both user name and password on the appearing login window, and then click LOGIN to enter the Web page.
On Web page, click SYSTEM > Network Setting > WiFi .
Select Enable and click Scanning , and then select wireless Router in WiFi List, enter its password, click Test to test the wireless settings. After testing successful, click Apply to save the wireless settings. Pull out network cable, then you can use the wireless function.
When you modify the parameters, you need to click Apply to save your settings.
2. Why the image is not clear when viewing by smartphone ?
Because the CloudNeteye default value of video quality is low (QVGA320x176), the resolution is limited, you can set by yourself. Run CloudNeteye,find the small triangle in device list, touch it enter into Edit camera > Advanced Settings > Advanced > Video setting>Video Quality page, change video quality to Medium, High or Max. For detail, refer to device User Manual.
Note: The video quality is higher, the greater consumption of mobile broadband traffic. To save your smartphone broadband traffic, select the appropriate video quality.
3. Why is it so slow when viewing from my smartphone?
Please use 4G or WIFI connection to your smartphone. 2G/3G connection may be not good enough for the service. Try to lower the video quality on your mobile phone to make the video viewing smoother.
4. Why there is no sound from the camera ?
When selecting Speak button on CloudNeteye APP, the sound will be send to the camera. If you want to hear the sound from the camera ,you need to select Listen button on smartphone APP .
5. The time shown on live video is incorrect , how to set it?
For the first time when you use the camera, maybe the time shown on live video is incorrect. It needs to get current time from internet for the camera.when the camera connects to internet, the time of the camera will update automatically. If it doesn’t, you can go to web page,click SYSTEM > System Setting > Time setting to set it manually.

6. Video blurs on a new camera, how to adjust it ?
The factory default focus settings may not match your condition. You can adjust it to the best according to your need .turn the focusing ring and check the image at the same time. Till the image become clear.(about the focusing ring position ,please reference user manual)
7. Why videos on camera are not true in color?
Cameras with CMOS sensor are sensitive to light. Videos color may be affected when the light is dark or the light mix with nature light. If the light is too dark, you can add the illumination. If it because of the light mixing with natural light, please just choose one light.
8. Why the image is black and white during the daytime?
Because the poor lighting triggers Night-vision mode, it causes the infrared LED to turn on.
There are two ways to solve this problem.
Solution 1, Increase the illumination.
Solution 2, Close the Night mode. More details, please reference the user manual about Video attribute setting.
9. Why the voice is low and the noise of camera is loud?
You can adjust the volume of the camera .about the setting please reference Adjust the Volume of camera in User manual.
10. Why there are ripples in the videos?
Cameras with CMOS sensor are sensitive to light. This may be caused by dark light illumination. If the power frequency of light does not match to the actual setting, it will cause ripples. About the frequency adjustment, please reference Open or close the Infrared light /Adjust the Saturation, brightness and contrast of image in user manual.
11. What requirements need when using Tenda IP Camera ?
A Router that can connect to Internet(upload/download bandwidth more than 256K).
Computer (Intel i5 or above CPU, Windows OS,IE) optional for PC software recording
Smartphone (Android 2.3 or above, iOS4.3 or above)
12. My camera cannot be reset. What should I do?
Keep pressing the Reset button about five seconds, till to hear the voice of "di" .Wait about 40 seconds .When the light flashes, the camera reset successfully.
13. Can the IP camera work when connect to computer directly, like connect the USB camera to the computer?
IP camera is an independent network equipment.Just connect the camera to the Router via wireless or ethernet cable, the camera can work normally.
14. Why do I have to reconfigure the camera wireless connection to my wireless Router every time when the Router restarts? Sometimes I cannot even search the wireless SSID of my Router.
A. Manually set your wireless router’s channel to any number between 1-11. Do NOT use channel 12 or channel 13.
B. Make sure your router’s SSID is a combination of letters and numbers and does not include any special characters, Chinese characters or symbols!
C. Manually specify your wireless Router’s security settings, WPA2-PSK, AES. Do NOT use the Auto option.
After configuring your Router as required above, connect the camera to your Router with Ethernet cable, then you can search the wireless.
15. I view the videos on the camera but they are very slow and bad stream,why?
If you are viewing videos from the local network , it may be caused by bad Wireless signal ,computer speed, Router speed . If you are viewing videos from Internet , it may be caused by poor network bandwidth. You can lower the video quality of the camera to keep the video fluent when viewing.
16. Can the PTZ of camera rotate all the time?
The PTZ rotates via motor driving .If the motor rotates frequently, it will shorten the lifetime of the motor. Therefore, we don’t suggest to rotate the PTZ for long time.
17. What kinds of modes of video recording do the camera support ?
A. Recording to Micro SD card: it needs to purchase Micro SD card and insert the Micro SD card to the camera. The Micro SD card should class6 or above.
B. Recording to computer :record videos locally via the camera’s Web page or CloudNeteye
For PC software .
C. Recording to smartphone: New smartphone APP support recording to smartphone.
18. What kinds of smart phone that support Tenda camera APP?
CloudNeteye APP, Android system:2.3 or above Apple iOS system: 4.3 or above
19. How about the camera’s secure? Can others connect to my camera?
Tenda cameras do not need to register account, which can protect your personal information perfectly. P2P direct video transmission technology. The video does not via the server to save. Do not worry about video leakage. If the others want to connect to your camera, they have to know the UID and password of the camera .otherwise, no one can connect to your camera.
20. How much Capacity of an external Micro SD card does the camera support? How long will it record.
Support Max up to 32G. Under the condition like setting motion detection recording ,the image solution is 640x480, it can record at least one month .
21. Whether the camera can alert me when someone breaks into my house but I am not at home?
Yes. You can set the function of motion detection to alarm from web page .About setting detail, please reference Motion detection setting of the camera’s user manual .
22. How to connect camera to NVR ?
Our camera support standard ONVIF, all kinds of NVR that support standard ONVIF can connect to the camera. The specific connecting method please reference NVR user manual .The ONVIF port of camera please reference the camera user manual .
23. When the Micro SD card is full , can it delete the previous recording automatically ?
Yes ,when the Micro SD card is full ,it can cover the previous recording automatically.no need to take out it to delete .
24. Does the camera support cloud storage?
Tenda IP camera support personal Micro SD card to record .Users can replay it by smartphone .Considering the security, tenda IP cameras do not support public Cloud Storage.
25. What system of PC required for running the C50s V2.0 Setup Wizard?
To install the wizard setup, it need the Windows OS support, like Win8,7 , Vista, XP.
26. Why it cannot search the Camera when I run the C50s Setup Wizard V3.0and click the "search (F3) ".
Please turn off the firewall and anti-virus software on the computer first, and then click "search" (F3), or try to use another computer to run the C50s Setup Wizard V3.0to configure. If you still can't search the camera, please follow these steps to undergo screening, solve the fault.
(1) Check the camera’s power connection is normal or not.
Check the camera’s LED is on or not, if it does not light, then Check the camera’s power connection.
(2) Check the camera and the computer is in the same local network or not.
The Camera connect to the Router’s LAN port, and check the Router’s LAN port LED is on or not. If not light, replace the connecting cable and try again. The computer connect to the Router’s other LAN port, and check the Router’s other LAN port LED is on or not.
Note: The camera is unable to connect to the port of DSL MODEM, Cable MODEM, PON MODEM that cascade to the Router.
(3) After the previous two steps, then click the "search" (F3).
(4) If after the previous three steps, it still can't search the camera, please take the following methods to directly access the camera.
Run “TendaCamera” APP on smart phone ,click “+” of “Device” first ,then click “LAN Search” to search the camera .You will see the camera’s UID and IP listed .enter the IP of the camera searched by smart phone on the browser. Then you can visit the camera.
27. How to set up Motion Detection and the email alarm on IP Camera?
To use the function of email alarm, you need to set Motion detection setting and alarm setting.
Mail setting :
On Web page, click SYSTEM > Advance Setting > Email . You can set email setting parameters .
When motion detection alarm is triggered, it can send email to your appointed email box. But you need to set email service parameters correctly first. Below is email setting example for your reference.
Server Name: Choose Server Name correspondent with your email address. For example, if you use Gmail, the Server Name should choose smtp.gmail.com.
Server port: Keep the default value .Normally there is no need to change it.
SSL: Keep the default value . Normally there is no need to change it .
Authentication: Keep the default value . Normally there is no need to change it.
User Name: your email address.
Password: Same as the user name mail password.
Send to:Receiver email .It could be set the same email address as the User name’s .Or other kinds of email addresses .you can set max three mail addresses.
From As: sender email address .it should be same as your User Name email address .
After setting the parameters ,click Test firstly to check whether the settings is successful or not .When testing the email setting ,the sender mailbox will send an email to the receiver mailbox . After testing successful , click Apply to save the settings .
Alarm setting :
On Web page, click SYSTEM > Alarm Setting > Motion Detection. Select Alarm With Snap and Send Email to ,as page shows below .After setting ,click Apply to save the settings .
After these two steps settings above ,when motion detection is triggered ,the camera will send alarm to your appointed email
Note: Frequently send alarm email, sometimes the mail servers will treat it as spam mail. Please use caution message alarm function.
28. How to log in the web page ?

3. Click “”, input admin in both user name and password on the appearing login window, and then click LOGIN to enter the Web UI. You will then be able to watch videos or do system setting. If you need to modify the IP address, please refer to the help item on the right How to Modify the Device IP config.
If it needs to set the camera IP manually ,please reference the help tips about How to Modify the device’s IP config at the right side of the page .
If the user is the first time to enter the web page, it will remind the user to download player.
1) Click Download Player on the top of Live video page, it will pop-up IPCamerasetup.zip item which under the screen.
2) click open button to download IPCamerasetup.zip and open it in decompressing tool software like WinARA decompressing tool software.
3) Double click IPCamera.exe to finish installing the video player.
After install the video player, you can view the live video from the web.
29. when I use CloudNeteyeForPC software to view the video, it reconnects automatically very 1 minute, why?
When the computer and camera are not in the same local network, or the camera’s Internet service provider and the computer’s Internet service provider is different, it will happen this situation .there are two ways to solve the problem .
Way 1.connect the camera and computer in the same local network .
Way 2. both of the camera and computer connect to the same Internet service provider.
30. When I use CloudNeteyeForPC software to set the camera wireless connection via remote setting function, it does not work, what should I do ?
Please set it on smartphone APP, or go to the device’s web page to set it.
31. When I use CloudNeteyeForPC software to record, how to set recording and playback recording?
Set recording:
on live screen page, Click ,it begin to record.
Playback recording:
1) click ,choose playback
2) select the camera in device name list .
3) choose the date
4)click search
5) in the search result ,you can see the video recording listed according to the selected date .
6) Double click the filename to playback the recording .
32. When I use CloudNeteyeForPC software to record and snapshot, how to set the snapshot and video recording path?

33. How to upgrade the system firmware of the camera?
First, download the firmware to your computer from Tenda official website .The firmware package name is “C50s V2.0 system firmware”. Then use decompressing tool software to decompress the firmware package. The file like “C50s V2.0-ReleaseDate.sw” is system firmware.
Second, go to the web page to upgrade the firmware.

Double click TendaSetupWizard icon , run this software, click next according guide info, until to following page.

4) On Web page, click SYSTEM >System Setting > Initializing. It appears page as below.
5) Click Brower… of Upgrade, it will pop up a box of path .Choose “C50s V2.0-ReleaseDate.sw” firmware, which you want to upgrade. Then click Apply button to upgrade.
6) During the upgrading process, there is a progress bar that shows current process. Please make sure the internet connection, power supply is working well .Please do nothing just waiting for the process finishing patiently.
7) After upgrading, go to Device Info page to check if the software information is the one that upgraded. You can check it through the release date of the firmware.
a) If the upgrading is successful, Then go to SYSTEM >System Setting > Initializing page, select Factory Default and click ok to do factory default setting .Note: some new functions can be used only after factory default.
b) If the upgrading is failed, Please check if the firmware selected is correct or not firstly. Then check whether the network connection and power supply is working well or not, or if you did other operation during the upgrading process .After checking that ,redo the upgrading process according to step 6-7 .
8) After doing factory default successful, the camera can be used normally.
34. Why there is no video player on Google Chrome browser when viewing?
When viewing the live video on The Google Chrome browser, it needs to download and install VLC media player first.
35.For stream media player software, like VLC media player, through what URL address to get the video stream for the camera?
URL address: rtsp://192.168.0.10/011 , Suspect 192.168.0.10 is the IP camera IP address
36. If there is no DHCP server to allocate IP address for the camera, what is the default IP address?
The default IP address of the camera is 192.168.1.88
37. Can I connect the camera to the computer via wire cable directly?
Yes .And the operation step as blow .
Step 1 .Set static IP address of the computer. Set the computer’s NIC IP address as 192.168.1.X(X ranges from 1-254,except 88)in IP address .Enter 255.255.255.0 in Subnet Mask. The other options is no need to fill.
Step 2. Connect the camera to computer directly.
Step 3. Open IE browser on the computer, and enter 192.168.1.88 in address bar. Then you can visit the camera.
38. If the camera can record without connecting to network?
Yes. As long as the camera connect to power, and insert Micro SD card, the camera will begin to record. The default recording mode is motion detection, which means the camera only record a motion picture.
39. Can the smartphone or computer connect to the camera directly via WiFi?
Yes. The operation step as below.
Step 1. Please keep press the "RESET" button of the camera about 5 seconds till to hear the voice of "di". Wait about 40 seconds .When the light flashes the camera go to AP mode .It will appear access point, which SSID name is“IPC-AP-XXX”.Then open the WiFi page of your smartphone or computer. Search and connect to the“IPC-AP-XXX”access point.
Note : If you upgrade the camera’s system firmware that released after the August 2015. Press the "RESET" button about two seconds, the camera go to AP mode .
Step2. Run CloudNeteye APP , click “add camera, then click “Search” to add camera, input password “admin”, click “OK” to finish add camera.
